![]() The promise of a full-length album is heartening, it sounds like Saulnier has lots of ideas to flesh out. There are several more strong arrangements in this mostly-mellow set. Step 1 Mark the cut lines Accurate marking is the first step in making secure fitting hand cut finger joints. And that's it for the disc, just the three of them, Saulnier taking the bulk of the accompaniment with guitars, ukulele, and piano. Then co-vocalist Kelsey Chevarie joins in for more harmonies, all underpinned by Saulnier's acoustic guitar. Stormy Weather features the fiddle of Christine Melanson starting off the tune, then joining back in for the chorus, providing a find harmony to Saulnier's lead. For the E.P., he's kept things relatively quiet and uncluttered, but he's also made some very appealing music with just a few instruments. Stopped the bleeding but now the fingers next to it hurt too. He's an acoustic singer-songwriter, with an expressive voice and nimble fingers on the acoustic guitar. He's based in Moncton, via Memramcook, and has recently released his first disc, a six-cut E.P. Notice anything missing? Yes, that’s right, no mention of Windows anywhere. VMWARE FUSION TORRENTS TRIAL(Presumably there will be a trial version once the final release comes out.)Ĭreating a new VM via VMware Fusion is a reasonable process if you’ve got installation ISOs:Īnd if you specify a custom virtual machine, you’ll see some common options: So if you want to try out the tech preview version, there’s no risk to do so right now. The final release is expected soon, but with that final release comes something that the tech preview doesn’t have: a price tag. While that support didn’t come nearly as fast as Parallels, it is at least here - in tech preview at least. It’s probably not surprising that VMware Fusion would also add support for M1 Macs. I do find myself using Parallels Access so that I can remotely connect to my M1 Mac via a web page (from Windows or MacOS). VMWARE FUSION TORRENTS LICENSEOne other interesting thing to note: A license for Parallels Desktop also includes Parallels Toolbox, a collection of tools (kind of like “power toys” if you’re familiar with the term on Windows) that can be fairly handy, as well as Parallels Access for remote control. My only complaint is that I would like to do PXE boot. What else is there to say? It does the job and does it reasonably well. It’s functional and pretty, and reflects the expected number of VMs that you’re likely to set up - single digits is going to be the norm, so something more visual is appropriate. Not sure what’s up with that, but at least you can attach ISOs and capture USB devices so that you can boot from media.Ĭontrolling existing VMs is done via the Control Center: Weirdly, even though I can configure the VM to specify that network (PXE) boot should be in the boot order, I can’t get that to show up in the Boot Manager menu. (I don’t expect to do any hard-code tasks in the VM, so as long as the VM is reasonably responsive I’m good.)Ĭonfiguration options in a VM are pretty much as expected:Īs I do a fair amount of work with bare metal imaging (yes, even on ARM64), I always want to see the firmware menus: How well does it work? I have no complaints - I can do everything I need in the Windows VM, and performance is quite reasonable. The Parallels Tools get updated any time Parallels Desktop gets updated, so I hadn’t started this VM since I last upgraded Parallels.) (Notice that my VM is labeled “Windows 10” - that was the current release when I first created the VM, and since it was an insider build, it has since upgraded to Windows 11. VMWARE FUSION TORRENTS INSTALLOnce Windows 11 is installed, it will automatically install the Parallels Tools in the VM, to better integrate Windows 11 into your environment. VMWARE FUSION TORRENTS DOWNLOADAnd of course it can download and install various flavors of Linux as well. to meet the Windows hardware requirements. ![]() To run Windows 11, it does provide the expected virtual TPM 2.0 support, UEFI, Secure Boot, etc. It will even download the Windows 11 VHDX for you: Parallels goes out of its way to show Windows front-and-center, even though Microsoft barely supports this with a VHDX disk image of the latest ARM64 Windows 11 Insider Preview build. Next, you get a choice of OSes to install. As there can be a lot of confusion around what you can (ARM64) and can’t (Intel) emulate on an M1 Mac, Parallels needs to start with a screenful of information: ![]() You typically start off with a virtualization solution by creating a VM, so let’s start there. So what’s the difference? Let’s do a quick comparison. ![]() VMWARE FUSION TORRENTS SOFTWAREVMware then later released a tech preview for their own VMware Fusion software (free while in preview). Initially, the only option for running virtual machines on M1 Macs was Parallels Desktop, so that’s where I started. (You might think the first VM was a Windows VM, but that’s not the case, the first was a Fedora 34 Linux installation. Not surprisingly, the first thing I wanted to do on it was to run virtual machines. I have a Mac Mini with the original ARM-based M1 chip. Oh, and you can generate your own Windows 11 ARM64 ISOs now too, just like Parallels does. Also see this post that clarifies Microsoft’s licensing for Windows for ARM64. : Feel free to read through this post and then check out the new follow-up post that compares the latest versions of Parallels and VMware Fusion. ![]() ![]() ![]() Powerful editing features for the best speed and video quality.Stock media content - even for commercial use (music, stickers, stock footage, sounds).Exclusive premium content (color filters, titles, transitions and video effects). #CYBERLINK POWERDIRECTOR 14 SLOW MOTION PROFESSIONAL#Unlimited updates, features and content packs with PREMIUM.Īccess all the professional tools you need with our flexible subscription options: #CYBERLINK POWERDIRECTOR 14 SLOW MOTION FREE#Enjoy hundreds of free templates, effects, filters, background music and sounds.Create video and picture collages with PiP overlays*.Add voiceovers recorded on your mobile device a built-in editor.Add text or animated titles to your video in seconds.Combine pictures and video in one clip using the multi-timeline.Apply jaw-dropping effects and transitions with drag & drop.Control brightness, color and saturation with precision.Trim, splice and rotate videos with simple taps.Precision editing tools to create every type of video: ![]() Create stunning double exposure effects from video overlays and blending-modesĨ. ![]() Furthermore, remote sessions, when accessed by unauthorized users, could open the floodgates to sensitive information worth hundreds of millions of dollars. #Breached plant employees used same teamviewer manualManual management and tracking of privileged credentials using spreadsheets is not just cumbersome, but also not reliable owing to the fact that one malicious or ignorant insider is all it takes to expose the credentials to criminals. #Breached plant employees used same teamviewer passwordPoor password practices, such as reusing and sharing critical credentials, are not uncommon and could open several security loopholes for attackers to exploit. Periodic vulnerability scanning and patching of endpoints Identifying and terminating suspicious user activities Monitoring remote user sessions in real time Securing privileged credentials in encrypted databases ![]() Including multi-factor authentication controls This involves following a certain set of basic security hygiene, such as:Įnsuring and mandating strict password policies While it’s crucial to stay on top of threats by employing advanced defence controls, it is equally imperative to consistently ensure that the often ignored or neglected fundamental elements of security (read credentials) are fortified. Security is not a one-time process it has to be approached and improved holistically. The Goldilocks approach to proactive cybersecurity Time and again, incidents like this prove that when passwords are stored in secure vaults and are subject to standard security practices, the chances of getting hacked are far lower. Simply put, it is often the known, neglected, and underestimated vulnerabilities that provide cybercriminals with an opportunity to exploit the administrative access to privileged resources. Since the credentials are legitimate, attackers can mimic legitimate users to avoid being detected. However, with remote work growing popular across the globe, there has also been a significant surge in the number of remote-session-based attacks, where cyber criminals break into critical infrastructure using compromised credentials. With work from home being a prevailing necessity among the global workforce, corporate VPNs and privileged remote sessions are the only way through which employees can access their corporate resources. Let’s take the attack on the Florida water treatment plant for example-all it took the unidentified perpetrator was one unprotected password to access and handle the control systems remotely. While it is true that attack methods are rapidly evolving, it’s more often misuse of administrative privileges and weak or stolen credentials that are enough to breach any critical infrastructure. They may also use simple techniques, such as phishing, keylogging, and brute forcing to gain access to their target machines. To put things in perspective, there was no sophisticated or complex attack strategy involved in this incident the attacker was able to breach the public infrastructure by simply taking advantage of the treatment plant’s lax security practices.Īttackers do not always need to design advanced hacking algorithms to carry out their plans sometimes they simply pick stolen or compromised credentials from the dark web to hack into critical networks. While the incident is still under investigation, security analysts across the globe have unanimously agreed on the fact that poor access controls and security hygiene have paved the way for this incident. The recent news of a cyberattack on a water treatment plant carried out by a remote perpetrator came as a shock to organizations around the world.Įarlier this month, an unauthorized threat actor had remotely accessed the plant’s control systems via TeamViewer and used it to increase the amount of sodium hydroxide (lye) in water to dangerously higher levels. Fortunately however, a vigilant operator at the plant identified this anomalous activity in real time and blew the whistle internally to prevent any potential damage. ![]() ![]() The parallel axis theorem for the area moment of inertia of a shape states that the difference between the moments of inertia between an arbitrary axis in space, and a parallel axis passing through the centroid of the shape, is equal to the area of the shape multiplied by the square of the distance between the two axes. Hence, the moment of inertia is a tensor quantity – it has different values about different axes in the two or three-dimensional space. The moment of inertia can be measured for both two-dimensional and three-dimensional objects. Objects of different dimensions will have different moments of inertia about the same axis as well. The reason for this will be explained more descriptively in the section on the parallel axis theorem. The same object will have vividly different moments of inertia about different axes. The main quantities required to measure the moment of inertia of an object are the dimensions of the object and the axis about which the moment of inertia is to be measured. Depending upon the shape of the object, the larger the dimensions of an object, the greater will be the moment of inertia. Known as the area moment of inertia or the second moment of inertia, the mathematical moment of inertia is used to describe the distribution of points in a shape about an arbitrary axis. However, this moment of inertia is different. A large object has greater inertia and is hence more difficult to move or stop as compared to a small object. The inertia of an object is what provides the object resistance to change in its state of rest or motion. You might remember from your physics class about the concept of inertia. ![]() The moment of inertia is a quantity that provides a numerical description of the ease of rotation of a body about a particular axis. What are the applications of the moment of inertia?. ![]()

Is was developed as a joint effort with the Quake2World project. Our updated engine has modern OpenGL graphics and special effects, increased texture resolution, hardware-accelerated clipping of map layers for toggling between levels, a new animation system for player models, powerful artificial intelligence, and many other exciting features. #UFO ALIEN INVASION GAME WINDOWS#All you need to play UFO:AI is a computer running Microsoft Windows or a supported version of Linux, and the installer from our website. It is a stand-alone game and doesn't require Quake 2 or any other program to run. ![]() This doesn't mean that UFO: Alien Invasion is a modification or even a total conversion of Quake 2. The game engine is based on a heavily modified version of id Software's Quake 2 engine. You'll have to watch your back, be quick on your feet, and take the fight to them. Your mission objectives will vary for each mission, and there are many to perform as the aliens' terrifying plot unfolds. Once a soldier is out of Time Units, he or she can't do anything more until the next turn. All actions in Tactical mode require Time Units to perform. Each soldier gets a certain number of Time Units (TUs), representing the total time they have to act during the current turn. During your turn you can order your troops to move around, fire their weapons, throw grenades or use other equipment, etc. Tactical mode uses a turn-based system, where your team and the aliens take turns to make moves. It's a dangerous world, and some of your men will die. You may find civilians and other bystanders during the mission, being targeted and executed by the aliens, or just getting in the way while you're trying to protect them. Instead of pushing imperonal armies around on giant maps, you use only the team of soldiers you've assigned to deal with this mission - the same soldiers which you've managed and equipped to your satisfaction in Geoscape mode. In Tactical mode, the game is about taking command of your team in various missions to combat the aliens wherever they might appear. Research will progress and items will be produced as time passes. Geoscape mode employs easy-to-use time buttons to control the passage of time however you like, automatically pausing whenever there's an important message for you to see. You can build, buy and produce anything you like, as long as your technology level and your budget will allow it. You'll launch your interceptor aircraft to shoot down UFOs and dispatch dropships in response to alien activity across the globe. You'll research new technologies and use their results in battle against the aliens. You manage the activities and finances of PHALANX, controlling bases, installations, aircraft and squads of armed-response troops. In Geoscape mode, the game is about base management and strategy. Like the original X-COM games, UFO:AI has two main modes of play: Geoscape mode and Tactical mode. #UFO ALIEN INVASION GAME PROFESSIONAL#We work together in a friendly and professional way, with a clear vision for a game that we know is worth playing. However, it's neither a sequel nor a remake of any X-COM or other commercial title. #UFO ALIEN INVASION GAME SERIES#The game takes a lot of inspiration from the X-COM series by Mythos and Microprose. Endless hours of gameplay - absolutely free. If you like, you can even use them against your friends with our multiplayer functionality. You will produce unique items and use them in combat against your enemies. Over the long term you will need to conduct research into the alien threat to figure out their mysterious goals and use their powerful weapons for your own ends. The carefully constructed turn-based system gives you pin-point control of your squad while maintaining a sense of pace and danger. Our game combines military realism with hard science-fiction and the weirdness of an alien invasion. #UFO ALIEN INVASION GAME PC#UFO: Alien Invasion is a squad-based tactical strategy game in the tradition of the old X-COM PC games, but with a twist.
